Looking Ahead

It’s been a while since my last post, but it’s time to pick up where I left off, and finish what I started. Last I shared with everyone, I become a dad! The last couple of months have been filled with new-dad jitters; from worrying about whether my son has eaten, to having a bowl movement (I can’t believe that a real thing parents worry about, but I get it, now), and checking to see that he’s still breathing at night. He’s nine months now, and while I will always worry, I sleep much better these days.

My job is easy compared to my fiancé, who spends the entire day tending to our little one. It’s really a full-time job and I get it, and I’m ever grateful for what she does. I’ve been holding down a full-time job while still working on my MFA degree, and unfortunately I had to put blogging on the back burner for a while. But, I’m back!

During the time I’ve been away, I’ve been writing, and I’ve written a few flash fiction stories that I’m looking to get published. I’m also still working on my novel. And my goal is to post at least once a week on here, so I’m going to write a few flash fiction pieces specifically just for my blog.

I’m interested in hearing how all of you have been fairing with balancing life and your writing.

Best,

John
